About our client
Our client is a dynamic high-tech company, designing and developing software to help medical professionals really harness the power of cloud in a real-world, real-time environment. Based just outside Cambridge, our client has grown to approx. 30 people and has a really good core team. They are now looking for a Linux Support Engineer to further advance their systems engineering capabilities and to provide advanced technical support to an ever growing customer base.
Who they’re looking for
Ideally you’ll have all of the experience below, but our client is realistic enough to know that this is unlikely and what’s just as important is finding someone with the right attitude and a willingness to learn what they don’t already know!
What you’ll be doing
Your role will be a mix of customer support and system engineering. The customer support part will involve working with end-users, most of whom are working medical professionals, providing support, troubleshooting and dealing with any feedback they may have.
The system engineering involves running, monitoring and developing a suite of operations software. This will require broad technical knowledge and good familiarity with Linux systems.
The success of the company means our client we’ll see use of their technology accelerate over the next year, so you’ll be helping them scale up their technology and processes to support this. This will involve working with people from across the company, so you’ll need to demonstrate the ability to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds.
